Created in 2002, AliX is a spin-off from the IGBMC Department of Structural Biology and Genomics (Institute of Genetics and Molecular and Cellular Biology, Strasbourg, France) in Strasbourg-Illkirch. Over the last six years, AliX has become a contract research organization with reliable expertise in X-ray protein crystallography, structure-based drug design, and non-covalent mass spectrometry.
With its sister company, Novalyst Discovery, a chemistry services company, AliX have launched NovAliX, a multidisciplinary company providing flexible outsourcing solutions for drug discovery and development.
Through a set of capabilities including protein delivery, protein structure determination, custom synthesis, chemistry R&D, medicinal chemistry and molecular modeling, NovAliX offers comprehensive services in research and development of small molecules.
NovAliX has also developed a unique and innovative platform using non-covalent mass spectrometry for compounds screening and binding characterization. This mass spectrometry technology has emerged as an efficient technique for delivering high content information on compound-protein interactions.
NovAliX proposes fragment-based drug discovery programs using its Fragments Analysis by MAss Spectrometry (FAMASS™) in combination with its in-house fragment library. Together with its medicinal chemistry and structural biology expertise, it results in a cost-effective approach for fast lead generation.
